This is the best souvlaki kantina in Kamari. quality food at an affordable price.
this is how it looks like at sunset cafe. it is wise to ask the waiters which table would be the best otherwise you’ll be watching selfie sticks instead of the sunset.
ok, the sunset is beautuful and apparently sunset in santorini is the best in the world according to my husband. but i am not a sunset person, i told him sunset is prettier to look at in the photo if we are in it. just me…
i am still asking what makes santorini to be the best sunset? tourism industry in this part of greece is really making money.
i really insisted that we look for this beautiful windmill so that i can take a photo of it. i did, with a family picture as well.
here’s some random pics for our summer vacation to Santorini or should i say my 40th birthday gift.
our flight is at 5:45 AM, and we are already at the airport by 2:45 AM. Jacob was really very cooperative, it took us a bit of complain but he gave in and slept at the car on our way to the airport.
this is our first family photo while having our dinner in Kamari.
Jacob met Anna from Bulgaria to play with.
This is our donkey ride to visit Ancient City of Thera. I was awed withbthe beauty of it because it really amazes me how could people live on top of the mountain, right?! Jacob also did a good job walking and he said “Thank you for help daddy.” when his daddy carried him on his shoulder.
this is one of those moments when his is being annoying and refuses to walk so his daddy would carry him like this.
just enjoying his meat and chips. okay, i am not really doing a good job on veggies.
and ofcourse, ice cream!
just looking for right food at the right price. mostly, in our experience, the food served to us are ripped-off-tourist food. sucks.
enjoying music at mango cafe…
so, we decided to try this souvlaki place that deceived us for being cheap but infact tax was not included in the price. another ripped off.
he got himself a nice hat!
I really don’t know how you call them but I know it by that name. These floats are created for the flower parade from Keukenhof to Haarlem. I have always wanted to see them but Darren did not want to. We went to Linnaesof instead last Saturday.
Anyhow, some of the floates were on display in Haarlem. That’s how I got to see them. We went for a walk after we’ve gone swimming. Here are some photos of the floats:
This is the First prize winner, Delft Blue kissing couple with a Dutch wooden shoe.
Then there is my son having a fun of his life pretending to be the driver of the float.
The tricky part is how to get him out of the float.
Then he wanted o sit, pose and ‘cheers’ fora photo.
Then he decided to watch the band playing.
And since it will be Kings Day on the 27th of April, there is Kermis in the center of Haarlem. I got him for a carousel ride. I couldn’t take a good shot.
To end the short visit in Haarlem, the dad wanted to bjy goggles for swimming so we went to a sports shop. To entertain a little boy himself, he went to a giant screen where to select available that are on sale. It is like playing a giant ipad. Clever idea, huh?!
